“This Is The Bra”
In the cyclone of inverted emotions that is David Lynch’s Mulholland Dr., one very young, super-cute, quirky, dorky and an altogether impossible movie director Adam utters,
“This is the girl.”
It is an understatement to say that he utters those words reluctantly. All of us who have seen the movie at least five times know that Adam was recommended to, no, was given an order to cast “the girl” in his latest flick.
The order came from the lips of two espresso-spitting Italian producers. But, our impossible Adam has been smitten with Betty, the Naomi Watts character. He could care less about “the girl.”
Yet he says, “This is the girl.”
We say, “This is the bra.”
Whether you like it or not, you absolutely know that you have to get it. It is saturated with David Lynch’s signature blue and it will be a force in your life like no other. Just trust us.
Off to spit out my espresso — it’s just not good enough.
